David G. Earl grew up in Bradenton, Florida, and now resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he spends a lot of time exploring and enjoying the gulf coast.  After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, David attended the University of Florida, where he received his Bachelors of Science and Law Degrees.  David has worked in both private law practice and governmental agencies, including the State Attorney's Office, and the Office of the Attorney General of Florida.

Koala Koala, I’m not a bear, I’m a koala, is David's first children’s picture book.
It's been said that there is a lot of Koala Koala in David, or a lot of David in Koala Koala; it's hard to tell which is which.  It may be because they both have the same easy going personality, or because David put a lot of his childhood self into Koala Koala.

David's inspiration to write the story of Koala Koala came while listening to a feature news story about a husband and wife team who developed a children’s picture book character.  David was always somewhat of a storyteller, and has a little of the teacher gene in him, so he set out to develop a set of storybook characters who are good natured, kind hearted, and fun to be around.

With the help of Koala Koala and Friends, and Professor Quartz, David would like to help children learn more about themselves, the natural world, their families and friends, and how to have fun growing up.  And since Professor Quartz is an educator by profession, we’re all going to learn a lot about everything whenever he’s around.

Thanks for visiting with Koala Koala and Friends, they're a great group of characters.  We're sure you will enjoy spending just as much time with them as we do.
